Individual is required to have a valid Ohio Driver’s License without restrictions of any privilege to drive at any time and must be free from any requirement for High-Risk Liability Insurance. Individual must have good math skills, ability to work alone, and willingness to learn wastewater processes. An Operator II or Operator I must have appropriate Wastewater Operator Certificate from the Ohio EPA while the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee is a learning or apprenticeship position both assisting and learning from a Plant Operator in which the individual will have two years from date of hire to obtain a Class I Wastewater Works Operator’s Certificate. The individual in this position will work night shift and operate or learn to operate the equipment in the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

This will be a full-time, non-exempt position in which the pay rate will be dependent upon the position filled – WWTP Operator II position starting pay rate is $20.73/hour WWTP Operator I starting pay rate is $19.99/hour and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee starting pay rate is $17.87/hour.
